In 2003, Sara Beck was nominated by the National Association of Home Builders as Rookie of the Year for the Salt Lake Board of Realtors. In 2005, the NAHB invited Sara Beck to train in their CSP, or Certified New Home Sales Professional Course. Since Sara Beck had been a Realtor in New Construction for the past 4 years, it only made sense to take the course and obtain the designation. "I've always had a passion for new construction" remarks Sara. "It's like a little kid and playdough! Building is a creative and personal experience in which a house becomes a home by choosing your own personal touches. It's something I really enjoy helping and educating Buyer's through." she adds. Sara started her new home career with production builders and felt it unfair that the Buyer's often had no representation as to their rights. When there was a mistake, she found that builders often had excuses, not solutions and that lead her to start representing Buyer's in new construction and protect their rights and interests during the building process, all while suggesting market appropriate upgrades, lots, and additions to home that would be beneficial to the homeowner. "I love it, I am so in my element when building." Sara states. Sara is picky when recommending builders and only the best make her list. "You have to build a great home, in a great location for an even greater price, or clients will buy existing. Builders now a days know this and are offering homes at unheard of prices that beat out short sales and foreclosures day and night." Sara remarks. "It's a competitive market and understanding builders, and how homes are built provides my clients with additional home purchasing options and that makes me a great Realtor. It's a win win!" |
